Microstructure Analysis

complete metallurgical and microstructure test analysis using highly experienced and qualified metallurgists.

Test Name : Microstructure studies

About the test :

These are very widely used in characterizing the material. Various phases in an alloy system are quantified and the extents of their presence are correlated to the properties like strength, corrosion resistance, stability of the material, etc.

The micro structure reveals the grain structure whether as cast, wrought, heat treated or subjected to any special treatment such as carburizing, hardening etc.

This also reveals the presence of carbides particularly Chromium carbide which is a matter of concern in high chromium, nickel alloys.

Highly experienced and qualified metallurgists enable ELCA to deliver the metallurgical condition of any metal, including exotic ones. The application knowledge of our technicians enable us to give you all the required characteristics, thus enabling the customer in making proper decisions while using the material.

The image analysis system incorporated into our high power metallurgical microscopes enables ELCA to deliver accurate and useful images of metallurgical structures.
